Allama Sayeedi and Delu Razakar are NOT THE same person - Part 1

Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi (also pronounced as Sayedee) is a world renowned Islamic scholar, popular politician, two time parliamentarian and revered orator from Bangladesh. His name is pronounced with respect by millions both within and outside Bangladesh in recognition of more than 40 years in selfless service for the dissemination of the message of the Quran and the Sunnah among the masses of Bangladesh and abroad. Sadly, due to his exceptionally prolific achievements, forces against him and his ideology and against Islam in general united to defame and destroy him as a person and as a leader of a movement for the spread of the message of Islam. War crime charges were brought against the Allama for alleged crimes committed in the War of Liberation of Bangladesh in 1971. Not only has he been served injustice, but his opponents, both within and outside the court, have tried to defame and decimate his good name and standing among millions through the spread of misinformation and lies, not mentioning extremely shocking allegations.

One of these allegations is the claim that Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi is not the real name of the Allama, but a cover up for the name of Delwar alias "Delu" Sikder, a notorious war criminal from the period of 1971. Although numerous witnesses have testified that Delu Sikder was actually killed during the course of the war through public execution, the court has refused to admit any such information. We add here more information of the documents and events which tell a story of their own, a story which reiterates the same fact again and again; Allama Sayeedi was NOT Delu Sikder.
Delu Sikder in the language of court documents:
As per the document produced in front of the court, the investigating officer at the tribunal, Helal Uddin, on being questioned by the defence, admitted to the presence of a collaborator named "Delwar Sikder". The defence lawyer Mizanul Islam on 18th July 2012 , asked Helal Uddin whether there was any collaborator in 1971 named "Delwar Sikder", son of Rasul Sikder, on a list compiled by the freedom fighters of Pirojpur. Helal Uddin answered yes. This is the copy of the document submitted to the court by the investigating officer on his investigations regarding the matter.

Below is given the list compiled by the Pirojpur District unit command of the freedom fighters association, wherein the 46th entry on the list is Delwar alias "Delu" Sikder, son of Rasul Sikder. He is listed as a known collaborator associated with looting and arson during the period of 1971.

The issue to be noted here is that the crimes of Delwar Sikder have been attributed to Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi. This was the intention of the prosecution and the tribunal from the start of the trial and proved to be the point on which the tribunal refused to budge during the stages of the verdict and the appeal as well, despite the overwhelming instances of evidence to the contrary.

Let us begin with the earliest and most important document we have at hand, the Dakhil certificate of the Allama. The document showcased here is more than enough to banish all claims that Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi and Delwar alias "Delu" Rajakar are the same person, which they are NOT.

The Dakhil certificate of Maulana Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, dated 1957 states that he passed his Dakhil examination from Sarsina Darus Sunnah Alia Madrasah situated in Shorupkathi in Pirojpur. The certificate states his name as “Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, son of Maulana Yousuf Sayeedi”

Maulana Yusuf Sayeedi, father of Allama Delwar Hossain Sayeedi 1902-1987
Despite this evidence, the steamroller of injustice concocted by the tribunal didn't budge one inch, confirming and re-confirming the biased stance of the domestic tribunal.

Where art thou common sense?
