Home Minister of Bangladesh receives Human rights award !

Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir has received an award for his role in 'protecting human rights' in Bangladesh..  This award was conferred upon him by a non-governmental organization, the 'Bangladesh Human Rights Commission'.
 
The 2013 yearly convention of the organization was held at Metropolitan Natyamanch at Gulsitan Saturday morning. Eminent guests honoured with the award included Home Minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir, ATN Bangla Chairman Mahfuzur Rahman among others at the convention. 

The Home Minister has confirmed to Prothom Alo.com that he had received such an award.

Ruhul Amin, the assistant Director at the Commission, also confirmed the news to Prothom Alo and said that the Home Minister was the Chief Guest at the programme. He also said that eminent personalities other than the Home Minister were also nominated for the award. However many of them did not turn up at the convention.
The invitation card of the event reads, "Bangladesh Human Rights Commission is a major human rights organization. It is registered with the government of Bangladesh and the United Nations Human Rights Commission. This organization is present throughout the country and works for all sections of the society without consideration of race, gender, religion or caste."
